1. Prepared to accept the legal and fiduciary responsibilities.

2. Share the vision for the library and have passion for the Friends’ Mission

3. Bring valuable and diverse skill sets and perspectives, with which to

• Ensure effective planning

• Strengthen programs and services

• Ensure adequate financial resources

• Build and ensure a competent board

• Ensure legal and ethical integrity

• Enhance the Friends public standing

4. Be a team player

5. Willing to take on additional responsibilities, i.e., work on special committees, serve as an officer.

6. Prepared to make the necessary time commitment.
